47-year-old Brian Allen McReynolds of Clay Street in Claremont was arrested by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers Tuesday (June 4) on a warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. McReynolds is wanted by the Sheriff’s Office in Tazewell County, Virginia for failure to appear. He reportedly failed to appear in District Court on January 17 of this year on a charge of reckless handling of a firearm.
Following his arrest, McReynolds was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility with bond set at $20,000, secured. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today (June 5) in Newton.
