Christopher Ray Smith Obituary, Death; – The individual who lost his life in a tragic shooting incident at a KFC in North Nashville on Wednesday has been named by the Metro Nashville Police Department.
According to MNPD, the deceased, identified as 40-year-old Christopher Ray Smith from Nashville, was fatally shot by 30-year-old Isaiah Maston during a dispute.
The confrontation reportedly began when Maston’s unleashed bulldog approached Smith and a companion, leading to a heated verbal exchange between the two men.
During this conflict, Maston allegedly discharged several rounds at Smith. Smith was subsequently transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Maston faces charges of criminal homicide and aggravated assault and has been remanded to the Davidson County Jail with a bond set at $210,000.
