Christopher Patrick Moore II Obituary – The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has reported that a man is facing multiple charges after a fatal shooting during a road rage incident on the Fourth of July. As previously stated, deputies responded to a shooting at the intersection of Bear Run Road and Runnymede Road, near Taneytown, on Thursday.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered 36-year-old Christopher Patrick Moore II, who had been shot, dead. During the investigation, deputies determined that a road rage incident began on Route 140 between 20-year-old Davon Joseph Dabbs, of Taneytown, another man, and Moore.
As the situation escalated, the group engaged in a physical altercation near Bear Run Road.
The Sheriff’s Office reported that Moore’s fiancé arrived at the scene with her legally owned gun and announced she was armed. Dabbs then ran toward her and struck her, resulting in him being shot in the leg.
As the altercation continued, Dabbs allegedly took the gun and struck her multiple times in the face. Deputies stated that he then fired several shots, injuring another man in the hand and hitting Moore twice in the chest.
Moore’s fiancé was taken to the hospital with a broken jaw and injuries to her head and face. Dabbs and the other man were also transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the CCSO, Dabbs was arrested on July 6 and charged with the following:
– Murder in the First Degree
– Assault in the First Degree
– Assault in the Second Degree
– Assault in the First Degree
– Assault in the Second Degree
He was taken to Carroll County Central Booking.
