Christopher Michael Willingham Obituary, Death; – Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick has disclosed the cause of death for a dispatcher who was discovered deceased in his office.
Christopher Michael Willingham, aged 49 and a resident of Cullman, was found unresponsive in his office at the Hanceville Police Department on August 23, 2024. Authorities report that he was last seen the previous day.
His remains were sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences Huntsville Lab for an autopsy. The autopsy results indicated that Willingham’s death was due to the “combined toxic effects of fentanyl, gabapentin, diazepam, amphetamine, carisoprodol, and methocarbamol.”
A press conference is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, hosted by the Cullman County District Attorney and the Cullman County Sheriff.
It remains uncertain whether this press conference pertains to the aforementioned incident; however, WAFF 48 News has indicated that it relates to the arrest of several local law enforcement officers.
