Christopher Grant Hulgan Obituary, Death; – A man was shot and killed by law enforcement officers on Tuesday night following a pursuit on I-459 N.
The Hoover Police Department reported that they received a communication from Alabaster police at approximately 10:50 p.m., indicating that they were in pursuit of a suspect involved in a domestic violence incident on I-459 N. Hoover police joined the pursuit and followed the suspect until he crashed near exit 13.
According to Hoover police, the male suspect exited his vehicle while armed. Officers from both Hoover and Alabaster then discharged their weapons, striking the man. Hoover Fire Medics declared the man deceased at the scene.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased as 44-year-old Christopher Grant Hulgan. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is currently conducting an investigation into the shooting.
