Christopher Ashley Obituary – The motorcyclist who lost his life after being hit by two vehicles in Ladson on Friday night has been identified by the Dorchester County Coroner’s Office. Christopher Ashley, aged 37 and a resident of Ladson, was fatally injured while riding his Kawasaki motorcycle on Ladson Road at approximately 8:45 p.m.
A vehicle, whose identity remains unknown, was making a turn onto Oakmount Avenue when it collided with the side of Ashley’s motorcycle, as reported by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Subsequently, Ashley was thrown from his motorcycle onto the westbound lanes, where he was struck by another unidentified vehicle that fled the scene following the accident.
Furthermore, there was a passenger on the motorcycle who sustained critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The collision is currently under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.
