Christina Restrepo Death – On the weekend, a woman from Plymouth was killed when her vehicle was struck from behind by a box truck driver as she paused for an accident on Highway 169. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the accident that caused a chain reaction took place on Highway 169 in Plymouth as it was nearing Highway 55 at 5:12 p.m. on Sunday.
The woman from Plymouth, who was driving a Nissan Altima, was preparing to slow down for an accident that was up ahead when a Ford box truck that was moving at a faster rate of speed impacted her vehicle from behind. MnDOT traffic cameras captured the collision.
The Nissan was then driven into a Chevy Tahoe that was in front of it, and the driver of the Nissan sustained fatal injuries as a result. The revelation of her identity is scheduled to take place in the following days. Loved ones identified her as Christina Restrepo.
The man who was driving the Ford was a 40-year-old resident of Brooklyn Park. He, along with the Chevrolet driver, who was 41 years old and from Minneapolis, and a male passenger who was 13 years old, all had injuries that were not life-threatening.
The investigation is being conducted by the Minnesota State Patrol.
