Christie C Tito Obituary, Death;- A 69-year-old woman from Allentown was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle on an Allentown street on Monday morning, as reported by authorities.
Christie C. Tito succumbed to her injuries at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest around 9:30 a.m. on Monday, approximately four hours after the incident occurred at the intersection of Hamilton and Franklin streets.
On Wednesday, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio confirmed Tito’s identity in an official statement. Allentown police indicated that the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office is seeking assistance in locating Tito’s family members. Individuals with relevant information are encouraged to contact 610-782-3426.
This incident marks the first pedestrian fatality in Allentown for the year. Last week, city officials launched the Safe Streets and Roads for All program, aimed at eliminating pedestrian fatalities on Allentown streets within the next five years.
