Chip Davis Davidson Obituary – “I am truly at a loss for words… Chip Davis believed in me so much when I was high school. At a time when I was very unsure if I would go to college, just being down on myself and not believing I was good enough, Chip was there to show me the way. He taught me everything he knew about Tech. He’s the whole reason I decided to go to UNCSA for Stage Management. I could write paragraphs on paragraphs about my memories in his class, getting on his nerves in the lighting booth, to playing pranks on him in his office.”
“It is with a heavy heart that I reflect on the passing of Chip Davis, a mentor whose influence shaped the course of my life. During a pivotal time in my high school years, when I was grappling with doubts about my future and my worth, Chip stood as a beacon of encouragement and support. His belief in me was unwavering, and his guidance was instrumental in helping me find my path.”
Chip Davis was more than just a teacher; he was a dedicated mentor who imparted his extensive knowledge of technology and stage management with passion and patience. His teachings were the foundation upon which I built my decision to pursue Stage Management at UNCSA. Chip’s commitment to his students went beyond the classroom, as he demonstrated a genuine interest in our success and well-being.
My memories of Chip are filled with moments of both learning and laughter. From the countless hours spent in his class, where his expertise in Tech illuminated our understanding, to the playful pranks we pulled on him in his office, each experience is a testament to his generosity and good humor.
