Chester Barrett Obituary, Death; – The body retrieved on Sunday from the sunken fishing vessel “Sudden Impact” has been confirmed to be that of Chester Barrett from South Addison. The Maine Department of Marine Resources reports that the Medical Examiner’s Office has made a positive identification.
As previously reported by WABI, Chester Barrett and his son Aaron, both engaged in fishing from South Addison, went missing at sea on January 18. The following day, their vessel was discovered in 160 feet of water close to Moose Cove in Washington County.
The Maine Marine Patrol has stated that they are conducting ongoing patrols in the area in an effort to locate Aaron Barrett. They have indicated that he was not found aboard or in the vicinity of the sunken vessel during earlier search efforts.
