Cheshire Car Accident; Fatal crash under investigation in Cheshire

A deadly one-car crash on Sunday night prompted an investigation by local authorities.

The Cheshire police and fire departments were called to the scene at 10 p.m. on Wolf Hill Road, near its intersection with Blacks Road.

Upon arrival, officers confirmed that the driver was dead at the scene.

According to officials, the driver crashed into a tree.

The Cheshire Police Department’s Traffic Division, in collaboration with the Naugatuck Valley Collision Investigation Team, was said to be actively investigating the cause of the crash.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the driver. They were in the process of notifying family members.

Eversource was on the scene to repair power for about 10 customers in the area.
