Born to Chastity O’Brien (Steve Robinson) and Robert Jenkins, Chay grew up in Alexandria, KY, where she was an active and spirited child. She was a cheerleader for the Red Devils, a talented dancer in Tap and Ballet, and a gymnast. Her bright personality shone early, earning her the title of Miss Alexandria at the Alexandria Fair. A proud graduate of Campbell County High School, Chay later attended the University of Kentucky and built a successful career as a dedicated manager for United Airlines at CVG International Airport.
Chay’s passions were as diverse as they were heartfelt. She loved sewing, crafting, and cooking, often sharing her creations with friends and family. An avid traveler and fan of Disney and Marvel movies, she brought laughter and light to every room she entered. Her beloved Pomeranian, Mufasa, was a constant source of joy in her life.
Chay is survived by her parents, maternal grandparents Charles and Darlene Patmann, paternal grandmothers Ava Welti and Patty Jenkins (Nicky), her younger sister Layna Johnson, her close friend Dalton, and numerous cherished cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her aunt Renee O’Brien, grandfather Bobby Jenkins, uncle Jeff Jenkins, great-grandparents Fred and Evelyn Delk, and dear friend Heather Evans.
Chay’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Her kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed. As the community comes together to honor her memory, we celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who brought so much joy to the world.
