Charles Crump Obituary We regret to inform you about Charlie Crump’s unexpected passing. He was a life member and the previous president of the club. Charlie unexpectedly died on Friday afternoon at a family get-together. Charlie had been mingling with other members in the Clubhouse on Tuesday of this week. In the city of Plant City, Florida, Mr. Crump was a member of the First Born Church of the Living God. The tenor voice that he possessed was quite wonderful, and he had a passion for singing.
During his time spent traveling with the musical group “Goldie Thompson & the Teenagers,” he expressed his ministry via the medium of song. Mr. Crump received his education from the public schools of Hillsborough County, Florida, and he graduated from Marshall High School, which is located in Plant City. Before enrolling in college, he was a member of the Upward Bound Program, which he had engaged in during his high school years. He went on to become one of their mentors. At the University of South Florida in Tampa, he continued his schooling and received his degree.
Attained a Bachelor of Science degree in History from the University of Florida. For his whole life, Mr. Charles Crump was a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Association. Both Florida and Georgia were Mr. Crump’s places of employment during his career. He worked for Eckerd’s Drug in the Tampa Bay area, Phar-Mor Drugs in the same region, the Sanitation Department Manager in Plant City, Florida, and the Sanitation Department Manager for the City of College Park, Georgia, where he eventually retired. His admiration for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers football team was unwavering.
