Charles Boban Obituary, Death; – State police are conducting an investigation following the fatal incident involving a man who was struck and killed by a train in Westmoreland County on Friday evening.
Dispatch from Westmoreland County confirmed to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that the coroner was summoned to the location shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Penn Manor Road in Hempfield Township, following reports of an individual being struck along the railway.
The coroner subsequently identified the deceased as 60-year-old Charles Boban, a resident of Manor Township. According to investigators, Boban was walking in proximity to the tracks in Hempfield Township when he was hit by a Norfolk Southern train.
Authorities are continuing their investigation.
