Chad Allen Nichols Obituary, Death; – The victim of a fatal motorcycle accident on Interstate 40 in Asheville has been identified by the Asheville police. Chad Allen Nichols, 55, was riding a 2022 Harley Davidson when the incident occurred near Exit 53. Nichols tragically lost his life at the scene of the crash. The authorities have already informed his next of kin. The accident took place just two days before Nichols’ birthday, as stated in a news release from the police department dated June 20.
A notification from the NCDOT on the evening of June 19 announced the closure of I-40 westbound due to the accident, with an expected reopening time of 12 a.m. The road has since been cleared for traffic. The police have confirmed that the investigation into the collision is currently active and ongoing.
