Cesar Flores-Diaz Obituary, Death; – As the search for the suspect involved in a recent shooting in Norristown approaches the conclusion of its first week, law enforcement officials are urging the public to assist in locating the individual.
Currently, the suspect has only been recognized by a blue backpack and a black hooded sweatshirt captured in surveillance footage. The district attorney’s office has noted that the individual possesses a “distinct walk.”
A reward of $5,000 is being offered for any information that could lead to the identification or apprehension of the shooter. The incident took place around 8:52 p.m. on February 13, on the 800 block of George Street.
According to authorities, 27-year-old Cesar Flores-Diaz was in the process of parking his vehicle outside a residence when the assailant crossed the street and discharged multiple rounds into the driver’s side window.
Police reports indicate that the shooter had been waiting in a nearby stairwell for at least five minutes prior to Flores-Diaz’s arrival, as evidenced by the surveillance footage. The video further depicts the suspect fleeing on foot in a northern direction along George Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Flores-Diaz deceased, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head. The district attorney’s office reiterates the $5,000 reward for information regarding the suspect, who is described only as a man with a blue backpack and a “distinctive gait,” according to officials.
