On Friday, authorities announced the identity of the woman who lost her life in a collision at the intersection of Main and Russell on January 4. She has been identified as Cecilia DeJesus, a 69-year-old resident of Santa Maria.
The pedestrian succumbed to her injuries after being transported to Marian Regional Medical Center, as reported by the Santa Maria Police Department. The driver involved in the incident remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
