Caurie Williams,Tamera Davis Obituary, Death; – The fourth individual who lost their life in a tragic car accident in Cleveland has been named.
On Thursday, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that 19-year-old Caurie Williams was among the deceased, having died in the incident that occurred early Wednesday morning.
Additionally, the Medical Examiner’s Office identified the other three victims as 14-year-old Kalise McGee, 14-year-old Tamera Davis from Cleveland, and 18-year-old Eddy Deandre Bonner, also from Cleveland.
Witnesses reported that the vehicle was racing down West 106th Street shortly after 12:30 a.m. prior to the collision. Investigators indicated that the car was traveling at an “excessive speed” when it veered off the road and collided with two trees.
The force of the impact was so severe that the vehicle was reduced to fragments. Three of the teenagers were ejected from the car, while the driver remained inside, according to police reports. All four were declared dead at the scene.
“This is an absolute tragedy to have four young people killed in this type of tragic accident,” stated Cleveland Police Chief Dorothy Todd during a media briefing on Wednesday. According to police, the teenagers were in a stolen Hyundai Sonata, which had been reported stolen from a residence on Wichita Drive on February 27.
If the car’s black box is intact, it may provide crucial information to investigators regarding the circumstances leading to the crash. The black box records data related to speed, acceleration, and braking, among other metrics.
