CHARLOTTE — Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) officials have suspended service for the Blue and Gold Line as crews work to remove ice from the catenary systems.
Bus bridges remain in place to supplement streetcar service. Riders can use the buses in the bus bridge to get to and from any destination the rail would typically take them. Information on the bus bridge stop locations can be found on the CATS website.
The Blue and Gold Lines are expected to reopen for rail service at 12 p.m. on Saturday.
