This tragic event took place on December 19, 2024, at approximately 9:22 p.m., in the vicinity of the 3500 block of Seminole Boulevard.
Details of the Incident
The deceased driver, identified as Casimiro Ramos-Juarez, aged 46, was heading north on Seminole Boulevard in a 2009 Honda Accord. While attempting to make a left turn onto Genessee Avenue, Ramos-Juarez’s vehicle veered off the road and struck a parked, unoccupied 1994 Toyota Pickup.
The impact of the collision was so severe that it propelled the parked truck several feet away, ultimately coming to a stop near a fence located south of the crash site. Witnesses described the event as “shocking,” noting the dramatic launch of the parked vehicle due to the force of the impact.
Aftermath
Ramos-Juarez was discovered unresponsive, with his foot protruding from the vehicle and the car door left open. Emergency medical personnel transported him to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:29 a.m. on December 20, 2024.
Investigators have reported no indications of alcohol or drug involvement in the incident.
