Casimira Pakola Obituary – The county coroner has identified Casimira Pakola, a 77-year-old educator from Lebanon County, as the pedestrian who tragically lost her life in a hit-and-run accident on Eastfield Dr. at the end of April. Pakola, who was known for her dedication to helping women stay fit and mobile, had also made a significant impact as an educator during her 18 years of service with Penn State Extension’s Lifelong Improvements through Fitness Together (LIFT) program:
For 18 years, Casey was a truly amazing instructor for Penn State Extension’s Lifelong Improvements through Fitness Together, or LIFT, program, which is an educational program for older adults to promote balance, flexibility and strength training to improve functional fitness. She was a great ambassador for Extension and created a community of strong women. She will be sorely missed by her colleagues and friends in Extension.
Authorities from the South Lebanon Police have located both the driver and the vehicle involved in the crash. However, charges have not yet been filed as the investigation is still ongoing, according to statements made by officers from the department to CBS 21.
