Carrie Beaton Obituary, Death – On March 31, 2024, a bittersweet aura enveloped the hearts of many as they celebrated the resurrection of their Lord and Savior while bidding farewell to a beloved soul. On this poignant day, amidst the joyous commemorations, my dear mother embarked on her journey to paradise, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering strength.
In the embrace of her home, surrounded by cherished loved ones, my mother peacefully transcended this earthly realm, succumbing to the relentless grasp of cancer. Though her departure feels untimely, her demeanor in facing this fate mirrored the bravery and grace that defined her existence. A remarkable woman whose essence radiated boundless love, she possessed a heart that embraced all of God’s creatures. Her fervent advocacy for the just treatment of animals was not merely a cause but a deeply ingrained aspect of her character. Through generous donations and personal acts of rescue, she touched countless lives, both human and animal alike.
Her intellectual prowess was matched only by her humility, as many sought her counsel and guidance. Yet, amidst her brilliance, her infectious laughter and warm presence lit up every room she entered. With a spirit as gentle as it was strong, she embodied integrity and kindness in every interaction—a true paragon of virtue. Born to Thomas and Jean Plourde in Cheverly, MD, on August 28, 1966, she carved a life rich in love and purpose. From her beloved hometown of Pasadena, MD, to a brief sojourn in Charlotte, NC, she left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. As a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother to Rhea and Kal-El, and a faithful partner to my father, William Corkran, her absence leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives.
While we mourn her passing, we find solace in the countless memories she gifted us and the profound impact she made on the world. In honoring her memory, let us continue her legacy of compassion by supporting reputable animal rescue organizations in lieu of flowers. For in doing so, we not only honor her life but perpetuate the love and kindness that defined her essence. Though she may have bid farewell to this world, her spirit will forever remain etched in our hearts, a guiding light in our journey through life.
