Carolyn Raymond Obituary – The fatal crash on eastbound I-70, just east of the Avon 167 interchange, has led to the identification of the victims. Stephanie Thompson confirmed to CBS News Colorado that Tom and Carolyn Raymond were the ones who tragically lost their lives in the incident that occurred on Saturday. Thompson, who is their daughter, expressed her deep sorrow on Facebook, stating, “We will miss them immensely. They were not only wonderful parents but also amazing grandparents.”
Shortly before 2 p.m. on Saturday, emergency responders were called to the scene of a severe collision involving two vehicles on the highway, resulting in the fatalities of the individuals in one of the vehicles. Meanwhile, two occupants from the other vehicle sustained injuries and were taken to Vail Health Hospital for medical attention.
The crash caused significant traffic congestion on I-70, leading to the closure of the left lane for further investigation.
