Carlos Leiva Obituary, Death; – A 15-year-old individual has been apprehended and charged with the fatal shooting of a Lyft driver in North Carolina, as reported by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
The minor was taken into custody on Friday in relation to the death of Carlos Leiva, a 25-year-old Lyft driver who was shot and killed last year in Charlotte, according to a statement issued by the police on Monday. On October 23, law enforcement officers who responded to the incident discovered a man, later identified as Leiva, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
Following the arrest, the teenager was questioned by detectives and subsequently placed in the care of the Stonewall Jackson Juvenile Development Center, as stated by the police. The identity of the juvenile has not been disclosed by law enforcement due to privacy regulations concerning minors.
