Calvin Bauman Death; – A 38-year-old pedestrian who lost his life in a hit-and-run incident in the Marina del Rey area was officially identified by county officials on Thursday.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner confirmed the identity of the pedestrian as Calvin Bauman.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, an older model red Toyota Tacoma was traveling north on Lincoln Boulevard at approximately 5:35 a.m. on Wednesday when it struck Bauman, who was crossing Lincoln Boulevard heading east between Fiji Way and the Culver Boulevard overpass.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department declared Bauman deceased at the scene. In a statement, the police department reminded motorists that if they are involved in a collision, they should safely pull over, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to provide their identification.
The city is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
