Cabrina Stanley Obituary, Death; – Ponchatoula law enforcement has identified a woman who succumbed to her injuries after allegedly shooting her husband and subsequently turning the firearm on herself during a dispute on Monday.
According to the authorities, Cabrina Stanley, 47, from Hammond, passed away at a nearby hospital following the incident. Reports indicate that Stanley is accused of shooting her husband in the hand during an altercation at a McDonald’s on West Pine Street on Monday evening.
At approximately 5:45 p.m., Stanley entered the McDonald’s where her husband was employed, leading to a confrontation between the two. Following their argument, they exited the restaurant, and she pursued him to a car wash, where the shooting allegedly occurred.
After being shot, the husband fled the scene, prompting a call to the police. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Stanley in possession of a firearm, and despite multiple commands to relinquish the weapon, she tragically turned it on herself, resulting in her death, as reported by the police. Authorities have stated that the husband was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
