22-year-old Bryce Metcalf, of Hot Spring, Arkansas has been identified as the victim who passed away in a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Wednesday. Police say Bryce died after he was thrown off a moving motorcycle following a collision.
The tragic collision occurred in the afternoon on Malvern Avenue between Drexel and Nickels streets, according to an Arkansas Department of Public Safety death report. Authorities say Metcalf, was driving a 2012 Honda CBR600 westbound in the right outside lane of Malvern around 2:30 p.m. when a 2018 Dodge Journey traveling east on Drexel attempted to cross Malvern to Nickels Street.
The Dodge driver reportedly failed to yield and pushed into the line of the motorcyclist, which collided with the Dodge’s rear passenger side, tossing Metcalf from the motorcycle. Metcalf was pronounced deceased on the scene. There were no other injuries recorded in the report, and the Dodge driver was not identified. The weather was clear and dry at the time of the wreck, which was investigated by Hot Springs police.
