Bruce Coulter Obituary – It was on Wednesday, April 3rd, at Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown in Nashville, Tennessee, when Bruce Coulter, who was 71 years old and from Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away. On January 16, 1953, Bruce was born in Monroe County. He was the son of Eva Mae “Short” Johnson, who passed away, and James Coulter, who also passed away. Throughout his life, Bruce worked at a number of sawmills in the region, during which time he also pulled cattle for a considerable amount of time and was a police officer for approximately eight years.
In Clay County, Tennessee, on July 3, 1976, he tied the knot with Faye “Hawley” Coulter, and the couple went on to enjoy a lovely 48 years of marriage together. In addition to his devoted wife Faye, who resides in Tompkinsville, Bruce is survived by his daughter Kimberly “Coulter” Summar and her husband Joshua, who reside in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, as well as one grandson named Brayden Gray.
A brother named Morris Coulter and a sister named Vickie Ritter passed away before him. His parents were also among those who came before him in death.
On Saturday, April 6th, at one o’clock in the afternoon, funeral services will be held at the Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Following the funeral services, interment will take place at the Bailey Cemetery. It will be officiated by Kevin Dyer.
On Saturday, visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until the time of the service at 1:00 PM, which will take place at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
