Brittany Ferguson Obituary – According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, a fatal accident occurred in Morganton on Wednesday night. The incident took place at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Conley Road near Jeeter Carswell Road. A 2006 Ford Taurus, driven by Brittany Ferguson, 23, from Morganton, was traveling south on Conley Road when it veered off the right side of the road and collided with a house.
Tragically, Ferguson lost her life at the scene. The on-scene investigation revealed that her car’s windshield had been struck by a rock, causing a fatal head injury. Witnesses reported seeing a white Chevrolet S-10 single-cab truck driving back and forth in the vicinity after the crash, with a white man riding in the truck bed.
The Highway Patrol is seeking assistance in identifying the truck and urges anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 828-466-5500. The investigation into the crash is currently ongoing.
