Bree Scott, 17, of tulare california has been reported dead. A recent graduate of Tulare Western High School on the honor roll, who also held the positions of ASB President, cheer captain, and Mustang of the Year. She was hoping to become a teacher after being admitted to CSU Fullerton.
What happened?
However, as of Wednesday afternoon, Bree has vanished, perhaps lost in the Kaweah River’s raging waves. According to her relatives, she was with a friend when they fell in; the buddy said that they were sitting on a rock. Bree was never able to escape.
“We’re going to put in endless hours until this young kid gets better. Because we won’t exchange a rescuer’s life for a deceased person, there are many things we can do but many things we are unable to do, according to Lt. Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Kevin Kemmerling. Since they received the report on Tuesday night at approximately five, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Crew along with other agencies have been combing the area at the Sequoia National Park entrance.
With 1,500 cubic feet of water moving downstream each second, the personnel have been fighting against frigid and hazardous waters. Now that they are looking downstream, investigators are certain that Bree’s corpse is not where she fell. She entered a whirlpool and it was within 100 yards. “A person will continue to cycle in the water and find it extremely difficult to escape if they are repeatedly washed into a low head dam. And it’s the thing about this specific place that makes it so complicated,” says Matthew Smith.
