Brandon Davis,Ty-Sean Coe Arrested; – Newly released documents have revealed the identities of three individuals now facing charges for allegedly firing at police officers in Hartsville on Monday.
According to a police report, the suspects have been identified as Brandon Davis, Ty-Sean Coe, and Miyon Mungo. Jail records indicate that each has been charged with attempted murder. The report details that a Hartsville Police Department officer responded to Society Avenue following reports of gunfire. Officers received a description of a vehicle believed to be involved, which was subsequently located in the vicinity of West Carolina Avenue and Sixth Street.
An officer in the area attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle; however, the driver accelerated away, leading police on a pursuit down Green Street. The report indicates that the vehicle eventually veered behind a residence and collided with a tree.
According to Hartsville police, it was at this point that the suspects purportedly discharged their weapons at the officers before fleeing the scene. One suspect was apprehended immediately, while the other two were captured following a search that led police to a nearby Dollar General store.
Authorities also reported the recovery of two firearms from the scene. In response to the incident, nearby schools were placed on lockdown for nearly two hours. Records indicate that Davis, Coe, and Mungo were each processed at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center following their arrests. As of Tuesday afternoon, all three remain in custody.
