Braiden Johnson Obituary, Death;- Authorities have identified the victim of a shooting that occurred Saturday morning in Franklinton as a 14-year-old boy. Columbus Division of Police officers responded to a report of gunfire in the 100 block of Dana Avenue, near West Town Street, at approximately 1:20 a.m.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement detained several individuals and discovered that the teenager, named Braiden Johnson, had been transported to a hospital by a family member. According to a public safety dispatcher, Johnson was taken to Mount Carmel Franklinton, where he was pronounced dead at around 1:35 a.m.
Given the nature of the shooting, police indicated that they would be forwarding the case to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of any possible criminal charges.
