What was Bradley Link’s cause of death?
After the shooting on Friday night at a house in a rural area of Eustis, Master Deputy Sheriff Bradley Michael Link passed away. When police raided the house to try to rescue Link, who had been shot and was trapped inside, they killed two suspects and injured a third, according to officials. Around eight o’clock at night, police received a report of a disturbance. Two deputies responded to one residence before being told to go to another, where they discovered what seemed to be a kicked-in door, Grinnell told reporters early on Saturday morning.
There was a lot of shooting when the deputies broke into the house. According to him, one deputy was shot and imprisoned inside, and the other withdrew. Then more cops showed up and organized a team to break into the house, only to have another deputy hit by a barrage of gunshots. One deputy—later revealed to be Link—did not make it out alive. After surgery, the third deputy, who had been struck many times in the armpit, groin, and stomach area, was listed as being in “serious/critical” condition. The second deputy had a shoulder wound and was in stable condition.
According to Grinnell, law officers utilized machinery that “tore the home apart to get in there to get Link out” when they reentered the Eustis, Florida, residence, which is roughly 37 miles (59 kilometers) northwest of Orlando. SWAT team personnel were involved in this operation. When SWAT entered the home, two bodies were discovered, and a third was transferred to a hospital, according to Grinnell. Prior to the cops being ambushed, there was no history of violent crime in the area and no warning signs of danger. Later on, officers discovered a variety of weapons, including long guns and handguns.
