BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Bluefield man is facing charges after allegedly threatening his ex-partner and being found intoxicated near a local McDonald’s, according to police.
On May 29, 2025, Patrolman T.M. Beggs responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Rogers Street near the old nursing home. The caller told officers she was walking down the street when she encountered her ex, Paul Justice.
According to the victim, Justice began threatening to cut her throat and bash her head in. She immediately called 911, prompting Justice to flee toward Bluefield Avenue.
Officers Lt. F. Ingole, Sgt. H. Browning, and Sgt. K. Ross later located Justice in the parking lot of McDonald’s. Police say he was highly intoxicated, unsteady on his feet, and smelled strongly of alcohol.
Justice was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault and Public Intoxication. He was taken into custody without further incident.
