Blanche L. Frankenfield Obituary, Death – Blanche L. Frankenfield, a beloved member of the Phillipsburg community, passed away on March 13, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and great zest for life. Her legacy will be remembered for generations to come. Her parents, Louis F. and Anna L. Messer Phillips, gave birth to Blanche on January 19, 1944 in Easton, Pennsylvania. Blanche was their daughter. During her eighty years, she left an indelible mark on the lives of a great number of people via her vivacious energy and unflinching generosity.
The commitment that Blanche had to both her coworkers and the community she lived in was a defining characteristic of her career journey. When she first started working, she was employed at OPT Industries in Lopatcong Township, New Jersey. There, she held the position of President of the Union and actively advocated for the rights of workers. After that, she moved on to a position as Department Manager at Walmart in Pohatcong Township, New Jersey, where she devoted herself to giving great service until the time that she retired.
In everything that Blanche accomplished, her dedication to her work and her enthusiasm for her neighborhood were readily apparent. Blanche celebrated life with a spirit of discovery and a feeling of adventure. She was a member of the Easton Area High School Class of 1962 and graduated with her class. She found happiness in going on camping excursions and traveling to Key West and Long Beach Island, and she created experiences that she will enjoy with the people she cared about along the way. Blanche’s enthusiasm for life extended to her roles as a devoted mother, a treasured friend, and a devoted member of the Phillipsburg Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, where she held the position of President for a number of years.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Blanche will remember her for her kindness, generosity, and unflinching love for her beloved family. AnnMarie Hardick, her cherished daughter and best friend, is among the people she leaves behind. She is also survived by her brothers George C. (Suki) Phillips and James A. (MaryLou) Phillips, as well as her sister LuAnn E. (Robert) Jones. In addition, Blanche’s nieces and nephews, as well as her cherished pets Piper and Hidie, will miss her terribly. On Monday, March 18, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, there will be a visitation held at Rupell Funeral Home, LLC in honor of Blanche’s memory.
This will be followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. There will be a burial at the Northampton Memorial Shrine, which is located in Easton, Pennsylvania. As we come together to commemorate Blanche’s life, let us remember her with affection and acknowledgement for the innumerable ways in which she brought joy to our lives and contributed to the growth of our community. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who had the good fortune to know her, even though she is no longer physically present.
