Bisera Djurkovic Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the pedestrian who was tragically struck and killed on the Silas Deane Highway on Sunday afternoon as 59-year-old Bisera Djurkovic.
According to Rocky Hill Police Sgt. Jeffrey Foss-Rugan, dispatch received a call at 5:20 p.m. reporting an incident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on the 1800 block of the Silas Deane Highway. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the pedestrian had sustained severe injuries. Foss-Rugan noted that both officers and firefighters provided immediate medical assistance.
Djurkovic, a resident of Rocky Hill, was subsequently transported to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries, as stated by Foss-Rugan. The driver of the vehicle, who did not sustain any injuries, remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
