Benjamin Brallier Obituary-Death News; Liquor Enforcement At Pennsylvania State Police Passes Away In Montour Trail Stabbing
41-year-old Benjamin Brallier was a dedicated Liquor Enforcement at Pennsylvania State Police. He has been identified as the officer who passed away in a deadly stabbing incident that happened near the Montour Trail in Moon Township on Monday, October 21, 2024.
“The Pennsylvania State Police is heartbroken to confirm the tragic loss of one of our own, dedicated Liquor Enforcement Officer Benjamin Brallier, who was fatally stabbed while off-duty yesterday. With over 20 years of service, he was an exemplary officer and a devoted father and husband,” said a statement from Col. Christopher Paris, the state police commissioner.
Police charged Anthony Quesen, 25, with criminal homicide on Tuesday morning, following Monday’s fatal stabbing near the Montour Trail in Moon Township. According to the criminal complaint, officers found Quesen approximately a third of a mile from the site, with cuts on his hands and blood spots on his clothes. He allegedly told police that Benjamin Brallier stabbed him and seized his backpack.
According to investigators, a blood trail led from Brallier’s location on the route to a bike. Quesen’s ID was discovered in a backpack near the bicycle. Quesen was still in the Allegheny County Jail on Tuesday morning, awaiting his arraignment.
