Kate Louise Weber was born on June 13, 1991, in Watertown, South Dakota. She is the daughter of Richard and Karen (Zirbes) Weber. She went to Watertown High School and graduated in 2009.
While there, she was involved in debate, tennis, the 4-H club, and the Watertown Community Foundation Youth Council. In 2013, she graduated from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management with a degree in both Accounting/Finance and Nonprofit Management. After finishing school, she went to the Carlson School. She volunteered at Camp Kesem for many summers and helped kids who had just learned that one of their parents had cancer. Once Becky finished college, she got her first job at United HealthCare as an Accounting Consultant and Financial Analyst. She was working for the company at the moment. While she was in college, Becky did an internship at United HealthCare.
It was true that she was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in both Minnesota and South Dakota. As part of her part-time job at Ledgers, Becky has just started working with accounts for non-profits. She moved back to Watertown in 2019 and was excited to get involved in the community again. She is on the boards of directors for both Watertown Excite and the Watertown Boys and Girls Club. She is also a member of Kiwanis and is currently the treasurer. It was on the weekends that she continued to help Watertown Debate by being a judge. And on top of that, she helped out the Codington County 4-H club for free.
She was one of the people who planned the Watertown Puzzle Party, which gave people in our community the chance to help finish the world’s biggest puzzle in 2023. Because of recent events, she was chosen as one of eleven finalists for the Day of Development’s Top 4 under 40. Richard and Karen Weber, his parents, live in Watertown, South Dakota. His brothers Travis and Amanda Weber and their daughters Lillian, Evelyn, Lilah, and Eleanor all live in Henry, South Dakota. Jarod and Cheyanne Weber and their new son Boden also live in Watertown, South Dakota. We can carry on Becky’s legacy.
James and Donna Zirbes, Becky’s mom’s parents, and Harry and Joyce Weber, her dad’s parents, are both happy in heaven with her.
