Additionally, son Brandon (Amy) Moll of Craigsville, West Virginia; daughter Emily (Tony) Roush of Morgantown, West Virginia; son Jonathan (Celia) Moll of Charleston, West Virginia; and daughter Elizabeth (Jonathan) Brumfield of Charleston, West Virginia survive him.
Brother Kirk (Mary) Moll of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and sister Sherrill (Phil) Strickland of Clinton, Massachusetts, also survive. In addition to innumerable close friends, Barry is survived by his uncle Chuck (Judy) Moll, numerous cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. Growing up, Barry cultivated an enduring passion for the sport of baseball. Barry graduated with honors from College High School, a demonstration high school located in Montclaire, New Jersey, which is affiliated with Montclaire State College.
He committed his life to Christ during his senior year of high school. After attending his alma mater, WV Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, he arrived in West Virginia. It was there that he met his future wife, Pam, and he remained evermore in devotion to our state. He earned his Master of Divinity from Emory University Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia, subsequent to his graduation from Wesleyan. Barry devoted the remaining years of his life to the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, where he served devotedly as a pastor. Barry retired from pastoral ministry in 2018 and began serving as Chaplain at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, a position he found to be extremely satisfying, almost immediately thereafter.
Barry’s most recent act of altruism and commitment to volunteerism was his service at the Upshur Parish House in Buckhannon. Furthermore, he has fulfilled missionary obligations in a number of countries across the globe. A significant number of them are Volunteers in Mission. He played a pivotal role in the inception of the Celebration of Mission Event at the West Virginia Annual Conference many years ago. It is impossible to tally the number of individuals whose lives Barry has impacted globally with his devotion to Christ. He sincerely believed that one’s life could convey a more profound message than mere words.
