CONCORD, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA), home to a handful of flights courtesy of Avelo Airlines, will now host an Avelo Airlines operations base starting on Thursday, March 6.
The new base of operations was announced in December 2024 as part of their continued expansion and commitment to North Carolina, Concord officials said.
Concord will be the airline’s seventh base in NC, and in April Avelo Airlines will open up its eighth NC base in Wilmington (ILM).
Officials say the airline anticipates creating 100 new jobs to support the two new NC bases. Those positions include Avelo crewmembers and jobs with Avelo business partners operating at the two airports.
On Thursday morning, Avelo Airlines officials will be at USA for a ribbon cutting and will provide remarks on the new base of operations.
