Ava Hulett Obituary, – A Florida teenager passed away in suspicious circumstances following a night out with friends earlier this month, prompting an investigation by law enforcement officials. Ava Hulett, 19, was socializing at Pelican Larry’s Raw Bar and Grill in Fort Myers during the early hours of June 15 when an incident occurred.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call for an ambulance after Hulett experienced a “medical incident” and was subsequently transported to the hospital. Although specifics regarding the events at Pelican Larry’s Raw Bar have not been disclosed, authorities confirmed that Hulett was not admitted to the hospital. After being discharged a few hours later, Hulett was picked up by her mother and taken back to their residence in Estero.
However, Hulett’s condition deteriorated rapidly. At approximately 12:20 p.m., Hulett’s mother discovered her unresponsive, as detailed in an incident report from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Emergency services were contacted, and despite resuscitation efforts by Hulett’s father, she was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has initiated an investigation into Hulett’s death as a potential homicide, although the cause and manner of death have not been disclosed by authorities. While detectives have refrained from identifying any suspects, they have emphasized that there is currently no evidence suggesting that the establishment or its staff posed a threat to their customers.
This tragic incident marks the second time the Hulett family has experienced the devastating loss of a child. In 2019, Ava’s brother, Bradley, tragically lost his life due to an accidental shooting. The circumstances surrounding Bradley’s death involved him and his friends gaining access to a firearm belonging to one of the boys’ father, a Tampa police detective, resulting in a fatal outcome.
