On Saturday, June 15, 2024, saw the tragic death of Ava Hulett, a native of Estero, Florida, and a former student of Newsome High School. One of her childhood best friends passed away yesterday, according to a social media post that confirmed the news of her passing. It was Ava, and I was trying to figure out why when I woke up this morning in total denial.
I used to giggle a lot around Ava, the girl. She could instantly light up whatever room she entered, but that brightness has since vanished. Since the family did not disclose many facts to the public, the circumstances surrounding Ava Hulett’s cause of death are now unknown. “I can’t handle one more funeral. I will not endure being cremated once more. Another homicide inquiry is not going to survive me! Without my babies, I cannot survive. In a social media post, Ava’s mother revealed. James “Bradley” Hulett, Ava Hulett’s brother, was shot and died in December 2019 at a friend’s home in Lithia, Florida.
On December 13, a Tampa police officer was shot at his home near the intersection of Churchside Drive and Dorman Road. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, four teens were present when James Hulett was shot in the house. Bradley was reported deceased upon arrival at Brandon Regional Hospital. The boys present at the site of the incident are all Ava Hulett-Newsome High School students. She could not go through the school’s hallways anymore, so she told the Hillsborough County School Board. She stated that she had to drop out of school since seeing the people who killed her brother gave her panic attacks.
