Teenage Trio Hospitalized After Rollover Crash On Parkway Exit Ramp In Westchester
Three teenagers from Long Island were hospitalized after a rollover crash on a busy parkway exit ramp in Westchester that caused a several-hour-long closure, police said. The crash happened on Monday, June 3 around 7:40 p.m., when a vehicle rolled over adjacent to the exit ramp leading from the westbound Cross County Parkway to Yonkers Avenue in Yonkers, according to Westchester County Police Public Information Officer Kieran O’Leary. The car had been occupied by an 18-year-old driver and two passengers aged 17 and 19. All three occupants are from Long Island, O’Leary said. The trio was soon taken to Westchester Medical Center.…
Mass General Medical Assistant Groped Patient During Unnecessary Physical Exam: DA
A 29-year-old medical assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital is accused of groping a patient during an exam that her doctor had not requested or approved, authorities said. Leonardo Hernandez, of Jamaica Plain, is charged with indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said. A judge ordered him to stay away from the hospital and the alleged victim as part of his release on personal recognizance. A 46-year-old Dumont woman was jailed for physically abusing one of her children, authorities said. Stacey A. Wilmarth was arrested by Dumont police on Monday, June 3, in connection with allegations from a week earlier, records show. Detectives from Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella’s Special Victims Unit subsequently charged Wilmarth with aggravated assault and child endangerment. She remained held Tuesday in the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
An investigation has been launched in Prince George’s County after a 31-year-old man was found with fatal gunshot wounds near an area liquor store, police say. Temple Hills resident Daysean Roberts has been identified by detectives as the man who died at an area hospital overnight after his body was found in the Hillcrest Heights area. Edward Fortado won the seven-figure payday by playing the $50 scratch-off game “Lifetime Millions.” Fortado chose to take the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity. A new eatery in Westchester will soon celebrate its grand opening. Police have identified the teenage daughter and wife of a Springfield man accused of fatally stabbing them over the weekend along with attacking his new son-in-law just days after the wedding, authorities announced on Tuesday, June 4. STUART, Florida (WPBF) — The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a partially clothed man crashed his car into the lobby of the county jail. A Broward Sheriff’s Office community service aide was arrested on charges of grand theft and obtaining property by fraud, authorities said. Deputies from the BSO Pompano Beach District on Monday arrested Chantalle Civil, 44, following an investigation into fraudulent activities at a 7-Eleven store located at 2391 North Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach. Investigators said that from late April to late May, Civil, who worked at the store, printed $65,000 worth of lottery tickets without paying for them.
