Fleeing Suspected Car Thief 19, Plunges To Death At George Washington Bridge
A teenage suspected car thief fleeing police plunged to his death at the George Washington Bridge before dawn Sunday, authorities said. The 19-year-old driver fled from a traffic stop by officers from the NYPD’s 52nd Precinct in the Bronx shortly before 1:30 a.m. June 9, they said. The vehicle apparently gave out, at which point the driver bailed and bolted. One person is deceased and another in critical condition after a head-on motorcycle crash in Tooele County Saturday night, according to the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office. At around 8 p.m. on June 8, the sheriff’s office received multiple calls regarding a motorcycle crash in the area of 7000 North Center Street in Lakepoint. CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 29-year-old woman was found dead late Saturday night near the IH-37 NB rest area, per Sheriff Oscar Rivera out of San Patricio County. The woman was reportedly found alone in her Mazda SUV. In a Facebook post, Sheriff Rivera said she had been reported missing from the Seguin area by her sister on June 5. Rivera said that an autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of the woman’s death.
A 56-year-old New Hampshire man was identified as the victim in a fatal early morning crash on Saturday, June 8, in Worcester, authorities said. Robert Petterson, of Farmington New Hampshire, crashed his motorcycle after the Harley Davidson came in contact with a 2020 Honda CRV around 1:40 a.m. on I-290 Westbound, Massachusetts State Police said. Paramedics rushed Petterson to an area hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The SUV driver was uninjured. Police closed several lanes on I-290 for an hour as they cleaned, cleared, and investigated the crash. No charges have been filed as of Sunday afternoon.
BRICK, NJ—A tragic accident occurred in Brick on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the deaths of two passengers. The crash occurred just before 1 p.m. at Brick Boulevard and Chambers Bridge Road, as reported by Brick police. The State Police have not disclosed the number of vehicles involved in the incident. A student at a Charles County high school got a scare on Friday after apparently ingesting THC from a vape pen and possibly overdosing, according to the sheriff’s office. At around 11 a.m. on June 7, a student at St. Charles High School was at school and called their parents to advise they were overdosing on an unknown substance. The parents contacted school administrators, officials say, and they located the student, who was taken to the nurse’s office.
