Rebecca Skeen Obituary, Death; – Detectives are in the process of collecting evidence following the discovery of a woman lying in the parking lot of a Dollar General store in Campbellsburg. Kentucky State Police troopers located an unresponsive woman at the scene after a 911 call was made shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Henry County EMS was also dispatched to the location, as stated in a press release. The Henry County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman as 56-year-old Rebecca Skeen from Smithfield. CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person was hurt in a wreck on Interstate 77 near Tyvola Road, the Mecklenburg EMS Agency (MEDIC) reports. According to drivenc.gov, This incident was first reported around 6:22 a.m. Thursday. One lane was closed after exit 5 for Tyvola Road, prompting backups. The crash was cleared around 6:45 a.m. MEDIC says they took one person to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries. Authorities did not say what led up to the crash or if anyone else was involved.
CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Charlotte Fire says its crews are responding to a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex. The incident is on Park Fairfax Drive off Freedom Drive. Charlotte Fire first reported the fire just before 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. The second alarm was struck around 7:40 a.m. The Mecklenburg EMS Agency (MEDIC) says they are on scene.
