(NEXSTAR) – Two people were killed and eight others wounded in shooting at grocery store in south Arkansas Friday, police say. Nexstar’s KARK reports that one of those people shot was a law enforcement officer. The shooting happened at the Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce, authorities say. “My prayers are with the victims and all those impacted by this,” Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement.

One person was rushed to the hospital after being shot in Hollywood. Hollywood Police and Fire Rescue responded to the scene of the shooting in the area of 4100 Pembroke Road, just before 5 p.m., Friday. Paramedics have transported the victim to Memorial Regional Hospital. Their condition is currently unknown. Circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear at this time, as police continue to investigate.

LAS VEGAS (TCN) — A former Las Vegas Metro Police Department officer was convicted this week of killing her ex-son-in-law during a custodial visit in 2019. The 8th Judicial District Court announced on X that a jury found Pamela Bordeaux guilty of murder with the use of a deadly weapon in connection with the death of Sean Babbit. HOUSTON (TCN) — Two men are in custody on suspicion of killing a young girl at a bridge and leaving her remains near a creek where she was later found. In a press conference held earlier this week, Houston Police Lt. Stephen Hope said an individual called 911 on the morning of Monday, June 17, after finding a body in shallow water near Rankin Road.
