CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A car is stuck on light rail tracks in south Charlotte Thursday night. Officials with the Charlotte Area Transit System say the vehicle is on the Blue Line between the Scaleybark and New Bern stations. Around lunchtime or a couple hours after, we’ll start to see some snow and sleet falling across the region, adding up to several inches in the mountains, with up to 2-4 inches possible in the Foothills. Robert Laemmle, the owner and former president of California’s arthouse chain Laemmle Theaters, has died. He was 89.
