Officers were notified around 4:30 p.m. of a shooting in the 1700 block of Long Beach Boulevard, according to police. When they arrived at the scene, officers learned two men had been shot and taken to a local hospital for treatment, the Long Beach Police Department said. Mark Cooper Obituary, Death; – According to Mobile Police, on Friday, February 14, 2025, at approximately 7:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of Airport Boulevard and Cody Road in reference to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim deceased. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the victim was struck by a vehicle as he was attempting to cross Cody Road. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene. The victim has been identified as Mark Cooper, 65.
