GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Gaston County crews are working to extinguish a brush fire on the side of I-85 southbound, according to the Lowell Fire Department. The department was notified by Gaston County Communications around 7:37 p.m. on Saturday after multiple calls came in regarding a large area of grass on fire between Exit 22 and 23.
