Late on Sunday afternoon, first responders were called to a home in the 1400 block of Maryland Avenue, when a man suffered serious injuries after being shocked by the wire, investigators say. HARLEM, NY – Early Tuesday morning, police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault in progress in front of 19 Hancock Place. Officers from the 26th Precinct arrived at approximately 4:25 AM to find an unidentified adult male with severe head and body trauma, unconscious and unresponsive. Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.
